- Is the pairing really random?
Yes, it is. In other words, do not think that we, the judges, are trying to make some special treatment for some of you, or, on the opposite, that we are trying to ruin your chances of winning this contest. We were totally neutral when we did the pairing.
- Can we use old works for this contest?
Yes, you can, as long as they are either stock, poetry or macro photographs/close-ups. Moreover, you do not have to, but it would be nice to explain what your process was in order to create your final piece

No. You have to use your own works only.
- I can't seem to be able to contact my partner, what shall I do?
Your partner might not be able to reply right away, so be patient and give them time for correspondence. At the same time, please remain as available as you can, in case we need to contact you.
However, if you do not hear back from your partner by March, 23rd, PST, explain your issue in a note to JustACapharnaum. Be sure to mention your category, the name of your contest partner and their category.
You will then be paired with someone else asap, and your partner will be disqualified from the contest. Which also means that those of you who accepted to be paired more than once, might receive a "last minute" pairing note.

- Can I resign?
It would be very unfortunate if you decide to resign. However, if you are willing to do so for any reason, please contact your partner to inform them, and then send a note to JustACapharnaum. Consequently, you will be disqualified (which means that you can't sign up again to be with someone else), and your partner will be paired with someone else asap. But know that for organizational reasons, it is best that you commit until the end of the contest.
- I can't get along with my partner, can I change?
As explained just before, unless your parter can't be reached or resigns, you will have the same partner from beginning to end, whether you like him/her or not. Do not expect us to take sides or solve any issues that can happen between you two (besides the ones explained above). But look at it this way: you don't have to work with your partner indefinitely 
- I don't like my partner's work, can I have another one?
No, no and..no. But you can always try to find a way to help each other in order to improve your work and submit an even more beautiful piece! Teamwork and communication are key words for this contest.
- Can the deadline be extended in case we don't make it on time?
No, and there will be no exceptions.
- My partner doesn't speak English well, and I can't understand him/her.
Then you shall find one or different ways to improve your communication skills with one another. Use your imagination and be indulgent.
Don't hesitate to check out the contest's rules once again if you can't recall them, and PLEASE respect them.
