"I focused seriously quite late on macro photography, maybe because it is a more difficult niche, needs a good technique, digital processing for focus stacking, and vision, is almost impossible to preview the final result.
I love macro photography because it is an exploration path, I always wonder what I discover, it is a world full of alien creatures and monsters living besides us, but I've never been able to see its complexity with the naked eye."



"I also had the idea to make ultrawide angle macro images before using specialized lenses as Venus Laowa 15mm macro were available. That's a territory that I've almost never explored before because usually in macro photography, the background is blurred, but ultrawide combined with focus stacking allows to integrate the background, and creating very interesting and powerful images."



"I advice the ones interested in macro photography to study techniques, maybe play with microscope lenses, that might be a better and cheaper option for high magnifications rather than getting macro lenses. Also for stacking, the software Zerene Stacker was a revelation, it is much better than Photoshop that works with masks and gives tons of errors that takes ages to manually correct.
