And this time, we will ask you to collaborate with someone! 
So how does it work?
The point of this contest will be to be paired with an artist of another art style (either poems, macro or stock). You'll have to work together to merge your different art styles into one cohesive creation.
In other words, you will have to:
- Either merge a poem with either a stock image or a macro photograph (or vice versa) so the poem will be part of the macro photograph or stock image (like here or here) or include it in the description section of your deviation (like here).
- Or merge a macro photograph with a stock image (or vice versa).
THE RULES! (please read carefully)
- Your entry must:
1) mention that your work is for the "Tandem contest"
2) include the link to this journal
3) mention the artist with whom you collaborated with.
- Both artists who worked together have to submit their final piece, and they have to be the exact same deviation. You work in pairs, remember?
- Visual poetry is accepted!
- Once your piece is ready, one person from the tandem will submit the final piece to the "Tandem Contest 2017" folder.
- For visual artists: please avoid using obstructive watermarks.
More specifically:
For the poets:- Your poems have to be in English only please. You can add some stanzas in a foreign language, but not the whole poem.
For the macro photographers:- It has to be a close up or a macro
- Your photograph has to be at least 1280 pixels wide (It is the “Display options” / “Size: 1280 pixels wide” or “Size: 1600 pixels wide” widget when you submit your photograph, underneath the “Contains Mature Content?”).
For the stock artists:- Any medium is allowed for stock
- You need to abide by the FAQ 809.
And no, there is no theme!

You will need to tell us:
- Your speciality: poetry, stock image or macro (or two or all three of these categories
). Depending on your "speciality", you will be randomly paired with an artist from a different category. Only us, and ONLY us, the judges, will get to pair you with someone. Example: if you are a poet, you will be either be paired with a stock artist or a macro artist. - Tell us if you're willing to participate more than once to make sure that everyone is paired with someone. N.B.: if you happen to be in the top three more than once, know that you will only win the "best" of the two prizes.
DEADLINES
- From February, 20th to March, 6th, PST: Time to apply and leave a comment if you want to participate!
- From March, 7th to March, 8th: You will be paired with another artist by the judges.
- Beginning of the contest: March, 8th, PST
- End of the contest: March, 31st, PST
- From February, 20th to March, 6th, PST: Time to apply and leave a comment if you want to participate!
- From March, 7th to March, 8th: You will be paired with another artist by the judges.

The winners will be announced on April, 8th, PST.
Be aware that if you sign up for this contest, you will have to find a way to be able to work with the other person that you will be paired with despite of the time difference, your different occupations etc... But this will be your own responsibility, we will be only judging the final piece, not your interactions
